Leadership Institute
We have partnered with Highlands College to offer a Christian Leadership and Biblical and Theological Studies certification program. We offer students the opportunity to earn three certificates. With just one night a week, you can grow in wisdom, knowledge, community, and leadership. Our certificates are developed with you in mind, making it easy to balance with other life commitments.
Whether you aim to serve your church or community at the highest level, pursue full-time vocational ministry, or simply expand your leadership skills in your sphere of influence, Nashville Life Leadership Institute has a program for you.
Programs Offered
We offer students the opportunity to earn three certificates. With just one night a week, you can grow in wisdom, knowledge, community, and leadership. Our certificates are developed with you in mind, making it easy to balance with other life commitments.
Biblical & Theological Studies Certification
Biblical and Theological Studies is a four semester (two-year) certificate that provides theological education for adult learners who want to deepen their knowledge of the Bible and study of essential Christian beliefs. The certificate consists of four courses designed to address the essential biblical and theological knowledge for a ministry-minded leader.
Christian Leadership Certification
This four-semester (two-year) certificate helps further develop your leadership with a Biblical worldview and foundation. In year one, you will build your personal and organizational leadership. In year two, you will build upon your personal leadership development by applying the principles in various settings, including your church, home, and workplace.
Small Group Leadership Sessions
Additionally, we wanted to add a component for Small Group Leaders to take 1-2 sessions within the 8-week term in the area of Christian Leadership. no course plan needed
Biblical & Theological Studies Courses
(For non-certification seeking students)
We have decided to open up an opportunity to take one class at a time without committing to the certification program. This program is only available for classes offered within the Biblical and Theological Studies program.
Summer Internship
June - July 2027: Two month summer internship where a student is paired with a staff Pastor to offer hands-on experience in the ministry setting. Interns will support daily operations of a ministry department, receive mentorship and engage with church members to build a welcoming environment, and collaborate with leadership to plan and execute weekly tasks, events, and Sunday services. (Only offered to those enrolled in a certification program). Internships can take place during normal business hours or evenings.
